We are Timothy and Julie Bowen and we are the owners of Winners for Life Mooresville. We want to show the wonderful Mooresville community how our martial arts program can positively transform individuals and families. Master Candidate Tim Bowen began martial arts at 5 years old! He is a Certified Instructor and 6th Degree Black Belt. He is a native to the area and has worked/trained at Winners for Life since 2004. He also recently received the 2024 Region 111B Regional Appreciation Award.
Master Candidate Bowen recently began the year long training to become a Master Instructor in Songahm Taekwondo!
Mrs. Julie Bowen (Yeasted) is a Certified Instructor and 4th Degree Black Belt. Originally from Maryland, she began her martial arts journey at Winners for Life Mooresville in 2013. She is an active competitor, holding multiple titles including 37 State Champs, 12 District Champs, and 3 World Champion titles. She was also named the 2022 Region 111B Black Belt of the Year, Region 111B Judge of the Year, and was nominated for the 2024 ATA Judge of the Year.
In addition to instructor, student, and competitor, Mrs. Bowen volunteers in local elementary schools, with a focus on Lake Norman Elementary in the Physical Education classes. She also runs an afterschool martial arts program at both Pine Lake Preparatory and Lake Norman Elementary.
